A We are a small bengals home cattery, with, for the time being, one stud and three queens. We also have one retired queen(our first bengal queen Darjeeling) who stays with us as the "memory". All our cats are full members of our family, and they live with us in the house, except the stud who comes sometimes with us but also has his own facilities outside in the garden. Breeding bengals is for us a true passion and not a mercantile activity, both my husband and myself having jobs outside the cattery.
We discovered the bengal breed while visiting a cat show a couple of years ago and that's when it all started.... We made the choice to import all our breeder cats from very well known and prestigious catteries in the USA we carefully selected. A
AA Many thanks to these breeders (Hilltop, Absolutely, Enchantedtails) who trusted us and helped us getting started. A very very special thank to our best far away friend Gail Sanford from Absolutely bengals who sent us one of her most gorgeous kitten "Walk this Way aka Walker". Walker is the one and only cat from Absolutely in France (we are so proud to have this honour) and now he is FIFE SUPREME CHAMPION with many many BIS and BOB along the way, he won the 2011 FIFE french championship end of october and will be for the second year representing France at the FIFE world show. This year he goes to Poznan (Poland) as a Suprême! Gail also made it possible for us to welcome two really gorfeous new queens from EnchantedTails in our breeding program. These two girls are also the only ones in France! Thanks Gail and Holly, this is a real team work and we appreciate your kind and experimented support each time we need it!
Our goal, and this is part of our ethic choices is to bring all our breeder cats to shows and have them get their titles. This is the only way to ensure our "customers" that our cats, and their kittens, perfectly fit the bengal standards and truely deserve the "breeder/show" status. This is of course not the easiest choice since it mens a lot of time and money travelling across Europe to go to shows but we are proud to show our beatiful cats and are aiming for quality rather than quantity... AOur
spectacularHilltop Elite achieved her Double Grand Champion title, our
first queen Brockenmoor Darjeeling was International Champion. Walk
this Way "Walker" was at ten months old best french bengal at the FIFE
world show in Saint Etienne (France) in 2010. He already achieved his
Suprême Champion FIFE title, is European Champion
LOOF, 2011 french FIFE Champion and not finished yet....!
Our very special F5 Shania won Best kitten at her first show and also Best in Variety in Germany winning on spectacular boys. We also decided to test all our breeder cats for HCM on a yearly basis by a specialized cardiologist vet (and we can show the test results). We take great care in chosing our kittens new homes, since staying in contact allows us to see how our cats evolve in time, which is very important for our breeding program. We are so proud that our first Walker baby girl achieved Best in Show kitten (3-6 months) at her first show. Congratulations Gatsby Girl aka Gaby!! I can't end without thanking my friend Catherine Millet, a well known Chartreux breeder whom I had the opportunity to meet through our common vet. Catherine is here each time to bring me her 20 years of breeding experience which is priceless. Thanks Catherine for all your kind help. A
